Turns out I had walked past it 3 times. Yes, I pulled out my phone in the hopes to find a picture of what it looked like on the outside. But no, although there seemed to be other options on these streets, I was determined to find Black Axe. The streets were quiet and I was becoming more and more frustrated as it felt like all I could hear was the echo of my now grumbling stomach. I had heard so much about it, but for the life of me, I could not find it. In all actuality I was not looking, I knew where I wanted to eat.

Excellent value for money.This would have to be one of my favorite places we ate at, and most definitely would return to, just to try something else. Of course, this too was good… despite my disappointment that they no longer had their foie gras ice cream bar.- As I always like to note, the menu does change frequently, but I am sure some of the most popular dishes will come and go. To finish off, the dessert of the day, the crunchy nut choc ice, malted milk ice cream coated in a Crunchy Nut chocolate shell. We then ordered the pork belly donut, because when you are presented with the option to order a lightly sugared donut filled with succulent pork with crispy crackling, I think it is a no brainer.

You go for the food that has flavors that I would say are almost as loud as the music, the atmosphere, and the tatted chefs who provide a good time. It is creative, it is pushing the boundaries, it is exciting, and sometimes all I want is something that is going to slap me in the face and say 'eat this'.
